Never have I missed your face
as much as I do now
Solitary I sit on top of a brick wall
hoping for you to walk my way
Freedom to wander set me on this path
gravity of your being pulled me to this perch
Turned my back to the brilliant morning
so I could write of you, in the shade
The heat and blinding light of the sun
hits my back like your body wrapped around me
Countless waves of eyes I have stared in to
then I plunge in to seas behind your dark, warm eyes
You are a stranger, a mystery
I ache for the adventure and discovery in you
Who are you to do this to me?
words fail to describe and encompass you
There aren't enough days in my life left to learn
all that I want to know...about you
